Foel Lus Fell Race

Race Report by Simon Edwards

Tuesday 14th April saw the Foel Lus fell race.

Four Buckley runners made their way to the lovely hamlet of “Fairy Glen” just outside of Dwygyfylchi. The anticipation of the race was further enhanced by the warm, clear, calm weather on offer.

These popular races attract a fair number of runners – and this was no exception with 115 making the circuit of Foel Lus. The race starts and finishes on steep road but is mostly open moor and grassland. For those brave enough to take their eyes from the ground the return descent offered spectacular seascape views!

Four happy blue vests reached the finished mainly unscathed and a well earned chat and drink in the pub finished a fun evening out. As always some good results all round
