Whats On: Mon 30th Jul > Sun 5th Aug


Due to the warm weather we’ve been having we advise that you hydrate well before and during training sessions

The training sessions are planned specifically with improvement and development at the forefront. With a busy race calendar ahead of us it would be great to see many runners in attendance.

Tuesday 31st

  • Training Night: Buckley Sports Centre. 7 pm for 7:15 pm start.
    • Intervals Group 1&2: The Bollards, 6 x 1km-  (Run Leader: Les Coathup)
    • Improvers: Wepre Loops at Varying Paces – Meet at Wepre Car Park (Run Leader: Nicole Van Den Wittenboer)
  • 1k to 5k and Beyond Group On the Etna: 30 minutes non stop walk/jog/run plus 1 lap-Meet at the Sports Centre (Run Leader: Rob Mackay)

Wednesday 1st

  • Fell Race: Ponderosa, Ponderosa Cafe, Horseshoe Pass 7pm Start- **CANCELLED**

Thursday 2nd

  • Training Night: Meet at Buckley Sports Centre 7pm for 7:15pm start
    • Efforts 1 : 2 x 2 Mile Tempo- The Bollards (Run Leader: Eric Campbell)
    • Efforts 2: The Common, 5k or 5 Miles- 5 Laps/8 Laps (Run Leader: Les Coathup)
    • Improvers: Wepre Park 1 Mile Warm Up & Timed Park Run Course- Meet at Wepre  (Run Leader: Rob Mackay)
  • Trail Race: Deestriders Off Road Grand Prix #3 Shotton Sports Club, Shotton 7.30pm Start

Saturday 4th Aug

  • 5k Handicap Session: 10:45am for an 11am Start at the Bollards (Run Leader: Les Coathup)

Sunday 5th Aug

  • Improvers: Long Run: 6:15am, meet at Ewloe Car Auctions, Distance vary between 8 to 11 miles (Contact Jason Dwan)
  • Tinkersdale 6 to 9 Mile. Meet Tinkersdale Car Park, Hawarden. 8.45am for 9am Start (Run Leader: Eddie Davies/Les Coathup)
  • Fell Race: Arenig Fawr, Arenig Quarry 1pm Start
