‘What’s On’ Mon 17th – Sun 23rd June


The training sessions are planned specifically with improvement and development at the forefront. With a busy race calendar ahead of us it would be great to see many runners in attendance. More detailed information on races can be found on the calendar.

Tuesday 18th

  • Training Night: Buckley Sports Centre. 7 pm for 7:15 pm start.
    • Intervals Group 1: The Bollards, 6 x 1km- (Run Leader: Chris Callaghan)
    • Intervals Group 2: The Bollards, 6 x 1km-  (Run Leader: Eric Campbell)
    • Intermediates: Dirty Mile Route- (Run Leader: Stu Jones) 7.30 to 9 Min per Mile
    • Improvers: Intervals at Etna Park and Sychdyn Route  – (Run Leader: Nicole and Andrew ) at varying paces to suit everyone-  9 to12 Min per Mile
    • Couch to 5k: Induction and 7th session- (Course Leader; Christine) 7:00pm meet outside Medical Centre
    • Race: Llanberis The Heights, 74 High St, Llanberis, Caernarfon LL55 4HB 19:00

Wednesday 19th

  • Race: Robbie Webster’s Wobbler Forest Hills Hotel, Overton Hill, Frodsham WA6 6HH 19:30

Thursday 20th

  • Training Night: Meet at Buckley Sports Centre 7pm for 7:15pm start
    • Efforts 1: Hill Session Reps Bollards Area. 10-12 80 sec hill repeats- (Run Leader: Eric Campbell)
    • Intermediates: Sychdyn Route- (Run Leader: Stu Jones) 7.30 to 9 Min per Mile
    • Improvers: Dirty Mile Route (Run Leader: Andrew Barnard) 9 to 12 Min per Mile
    • 5k on Buckley Common earlier start time 18:15 (Run Leader: Les Coathrup)
    • Couch to 5k:  8th session- (Course Leader; Dave Wootton) 7:00pm meet outside Medical Centre
    • Race: Warrington 10k Green Lane Community School, Holes Ln, Warrington WA1 4LS 19:30

Friday 14th

  • Race: Tattenhall Tough Team Tattenhall, Chester CH3 19:15

Saturday 22nd                                        

  • Training: 5K from The Tavern, Meet at The Bollards. -10.45 meet (Run Leader: Les Coathup)
  • Presentation Evening Old Padeswood Golf Club, Station Lane, Padeswood, CH7 4JD Mold 19:00

Sunday 23rd

  • Training: Tinkersdale 9 or 6 Mile- 8.45am for 9am Start (Run Leader: Eddie Davies)
  • Training: Cross Country, Northop College of Horticulture 10am (Alun Smith)
  • Race: National Trust 10K Trail Chirk Castle, Chirk LL14 5AF 8:00 am
  • Race: Colshaw Hall 10K Colshaw Hall Country Estate, Stocks Ln, Over Peover, Cheshire WA16 8TW 10:00 am
  • Race: Runfest Wales Rhyl, North Wales 5k, 10k & Half Marathon 10:00 am
  • Race: Moel-y-Gamelin Ponderosa Cafe, Horseshoe Pass, Llangollen LL20 8DR 11:00 am
