‘What’s On’ Mon 8th – Sun 14th July


The training sessions are planned specifically with improvement and development at the forefront. With a busy race calendar ahead of us it would be great to see many runners in attendance. More detailed information on races can be found on the calendar.

Tuesday 9th

  • Training Night: Please note Buckley Sports Centre not available because of Jubilee. 7 pm for 7:15 pm start.
    • Intervals Group 1: The Bollards, 6 x 1km- (Run Leader: Chris Callaghan) NB meet at the Bollards
    • Intervals Group 2: The Bollards, 6 x 1km-  (Run Leader: Eric Campbell) NB meet at the Bollards
    • Improvers: Mount Etna meet at car park on the Tip Road (Run Leader: Nicole)-  9 to12 Min per Mile
    • Improvers Option 2: Meet at Wepre Park and run with the couch to 5k group
    • Couch to 5k:  13th session Wepre Park- (Course Leader: Rob Mackey & Christine Curd) 7:00pm meet at Wepre Park

Wednesday 10th

  • Race: The Druid Druid Inn, Llanferres, Mold CH7 5SN, UK 19:30

Thursday 11th

  • Training Night: Meet at Buckley Sports Centre 7pm for 7:15pm start
    • Lead Group: Pyramid Session – (Run Leader: Chris Callaghan)
    • Improvers: Wepre Park 7pm (Run Leader: Nicole) 9 to 12 Min per Mile
    • Improvers Option 2: Golf Course Route (Run Leader: Cath Atkin)
    • 5k on Buckley Common earlier start time 18:15 (Run Leader: Les Coathrup)
    • Couch to 5k:  14th session- (Course Leader; Rob Mackey) 7:00pm meet outside Medical Centre

Saturday 13th                                       

  • Training: 5K from The Tavern, Meet at The Bollards. -10.45 meet (Run Leader: Les Coathup)
  • Race: North Wales Fell Series #6 – Tal y Fan Carnival Field, near village hall, Rowen, Conwy 14:00

Sunday 14th

  • Training: Tinkersdale 9 or 6 Mile- 8.45am for 9am Start (Run Leader: Eddie Davies)
  • Race: Hawarden Estate Trail Races Hawarden Estate 11:00
