‘What’s On’ Mon 29th – Sun 4th August

The training sessions are planned specifically with improvement and development at the forefront. With a busy race calendar ahead of us it would be great to see many runners in attendance. More detailed information on races can be found on the calendar.

Tuesday 30th

  • Training Night: Buckley Sports Centre. 7 pm for 7:15 pm start.
    • Intervals Group 1: The Bollards, 6 x 1km – (Run Leader: Eric Campbell)
    • Hill Reps: 12 x 80 sec repeats  (Run Leader: Chris Callaghan)
    • Intervals Group 2: The Bollards, 6 x 1km-  (Run Leader: Eric Campbell)
    • Intermediates: Golf Course Route Route- (Run Leader: Stu Jones) 7.30 to 9 Min per Mile
    • Improvers: Intervals and Chambers Lane  –  (Run Leader: Andrew) —  9 to12 Min per Mile
    • Couch to 5k: Wepre Park 5k run- (Course Leader; Rob Mackay) 7:00pm meet Wepre Park

Wednesday 31st

  • Race: Ponderosa Ponderosa Cafe, Horseshoe Pass, Llangollen 19:00
  • Race: Wirral Seaside Run Series – Race 3 Near Leasowe Lighthouse, Moreton 19:00

Thursday 1st

  • Training Night: Meet at Buckley Sports Centre 7pm for 7:15pm start
    • Lead Group: Option 1; 5k Tempo time trial Alltami Lights- (Run Leader: Eric Campbell)
    • Lead Group: Option 2; Pyramid Session on the Common 4-3-2-1k- (Run Leader: Chris Callaghan)
    • Intermediates: Sychden Route- (Run Leader: Stu Jones) 7.30 to 9 Min per Mile
    • Improvers: Golf Course Route or Heritage Trail (Run Leader: Andrew) 9 to 12 Min per Mile
    • Pyramid Session 3-2-1 on Buckley Common earlier start time 18:15 (Run Leader: Les Coathrup)
    • Couch to 5k:  5-6k run of Common- (Course Leader; Rob Mackey) 7:00pm meet outside Medical Centre
    • Race: Deestriders Off Road GP Series – Race 3 19:30

Saturday 3rd                                     

  • Training: 5K from The Tavern, Meet at The Bollards. -10.45 meet (Run Leader: Les Coathup)

Sunday 4th

  • Training: Tinkersdale 9 or 6 Mile- 8.45am for 9am Start (Run Leader: Eddie Davies)
  • Race:  North Wales Half Marathon Conwy 09:00 am
