‘What’s On’ Mon 5th – Sun 11th August


The training sessions are planned specifically with improvement and development at the forefront. With a busy race calendar ahead of us it would be great to see many runners in attendance. More detailed information on races can be found on the calendar.

Tuesday 6th

  • Training Night: Buckley Sports Centre. 7 pm for 7:15 pm start.
    • Intervals Group 1: The Bollards, 6 x 1km – (Run Leader: Chris Callaghan)
    • Intervals Group 2: The Bollards, 6 x 1km-  (Run Leader: Eric Campbell)
    • Intermediates: Liverpool Road Route- (Run Leader: Stu Jones) 7.30 to 9 Min per Mile
    • Improvers: Intervals and Sychden Route  –  (Run Leader: Andrew) —  9 to12 Min per Mile
    • Couch to 5k: Will join the Improvers Group Intervals- (Course Leader; Rob Mackay) 7:00pm meet Buckley Sports Centre

Wednesday 7th

  • Trail Run: meet @ The Raven Inn, Llanarmon yn Lal (Run Leader: Tim Hargreaves) 7:15pm
  • Race: Pie and Peas Trail Race Royal British Legion, Moulton, Cheshire 19:30
  • Race: Caernarfon 10k Coed Helen Recreational Grounds. (LL54 5RP) 7:00pm

Thursday 8th

  • Training Night: Meet at Buckley Sports Centre 7pm for 7:15pm start
    • Lead Group:  Pyramid Session on the Common 4-3-2-1k- (Run Leader: Chris Callaghan)
    • Intermediates: Dirty Mile Route- (Run Leader: Stu Jones) 7.30 to 9 Min per Mile
    • Improvers: Mold Loop (Run Leader: Andrew) 9 to 12 Min per Mile
    • Pyramid Session 3-2-1 on Buckley Common earlier start time 18:15 (Run Leader: Les Coathrup)
    • Couch to 5k:  Buckley Common or Buckley Tyres route- (Course Leader; TBC) 7:00pm meet outside Medical Centre

Saturday 10th                                     

  • Training: 5K from The Tavern, Meet at The Bollards. -10.45 meet (Run Leader: Les Coathup)

Sunday 11th

  • Training: Tinkersdale 9 or 6 Mile- 8.45am for 9am Start (Run Leader: Les Coathrup)
  • Race: Tatton Park 10k 09:00am
